Solidarity for Palestinian Human Rights (SPHR) found at http://www.sphr.org , is a non-profit, student association based in Montréal with the aim of educating the public about the human rights status of the Palestinian people. It was established in September 1999 as a result of the merger of two student associations based in Concordia and McGill universities. In less than two years, the SPHR was able to expand to all the major universities in Montréal and Ottawa . With its large membership and the numerous activities it organizes, the SPHR is considered one of the largest and fastest growing grassroots organisations operating out of Montréal.
