Robert Fisk, a world famous reporter and speaker will be presenting "Obama, Us, and the Middle East Wars" at Concordia University, Thursday, February 19 at 7pm. Fisk, the Middle East correspondent of the UK newspaper The
Independent, has spent more than 30 years living in and reporting from
the region and won awards for his work.

Suggested donation to cover expenses are $10 for students and low
income / $20 for everyone else. Fisk has said that journalism must "challenge authority — all
authority — especially so when governments and politicians take us to
war." At a time when Canada is rushing to support Israel's aggression
against Palestine and the bombardment of Gaza, along with Obama's
acceleration of the US war in Afghanistan, Fisk will erase the
propaganda behind Canada's justifications, and reveal what are the
consequences. Fisk has published a number of books such as "Pity the Nation: Lebanon
at War". His most famous work, "The Great War for Civilisation: The
Conquest of the Middle East" (2005), has been followed by "The Age of
the Warrior: Selected Writings" (2008). The last two books will be
