Synopsis:

Fadi was born and raised in Canada to Palestinian parents and has always been an activist and considers himself Palestinian at heart and soul. Not knowing he is about to face a life changing experience, Fadi embarks on a trip to the infamous “Ein il Hilweh” Palestinian refugee camp in southern Lebanon.

In the camp Fadi meets Rabee, a simple Palestinian refugee who has a very optimistic and lively existence. Rabee introduces our main character to the life in the camp as exemplified by a Dabkeh group of his dearest friends. However with Fadi's growing struggle to get in peace with his origins Rabee convinces him to visit Palestine, the “mother nation” as the witty Rabee likes to call it.

This is the backdrop of events leading up to the play “Citizenship… Palestine?” Dabkeh, comedy, and Drama intertwine in Fadi's journey of self realization and lead to the ever important question: what does it mean to be Palestinian?
