Tour Details
From February 5th to 12th, Solidarity for Palestinian Human Rights will host Dr. Marcy Newman on a tour of eastern Canada. Ms. Newman is a member Nahr Elbared Relief Campaign. Last year during the Lebanese army invasion of Nahr Elbared refugee camp this organization was able to aid the refugees fleeing from the collective punishment and highlighted the facts on the ground. Ms. Newman teaches literature courses, as well as courses in American and Middle East Studies. Her present post is at the Center for American Studies and Research at the American University of Beirut. She will be speaking about Nahr Elbared Palestinian Refugee camp and the situation of Palestinians in Lebanon.
